Cultivated in the Japanese province of Hunan, this tea is harvested in spring, giving it a fresh and pungent character. With Japanese cherry blooms in full bloom, the petals are plucked at the ideal time for capturing their subtle sweetness, which contrasts nicely with the smooth Sencha green tea leaves. Sencha tea has been used throughout Japanese history an as a part of ceremonial traditions.

Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose is a loose leaf green tea harvested in China.

 

Hot brewing directions: Steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea in 8 ounces of water at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-7 minutes.

Cold brewing directions: Steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea in 6-7 ounces of water at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Add to a 12-ounce glass with ice.
